Jamaican athlete 25 yrs old Kavon Nelson killed at his home

Reports from the police are that at about 12:30 a.m., Nelson was at home when men entered his home and opened fire.
When the police arrived at the scene, Nelson was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The St Andrew North police say no motive has yet been established.
Nelson represented Jamaica at the North American, Central American and Caribbean under-23 championships in 2014.
Olympian, World Championship medallist and training partner Javon Francis, also took to social media site Facebook to express his grief at Nelson’s passing.
His post read, “RIP to my best friend, otherwise my training partner. I never know this day would come.
