As a basic guide most will need 1.5 to 2 litres of fluid a day and that can amount to 7.5 to 10 glasses a day.

Milk and fruit juice is also a good choice for keeping your body hydrated,and fruits and vegetables also contains lots of water.

If you do not like the tase of plain water,then fruit juices teas and squash is also a good alternative;or you could add slices of lime,cucumber or lemon in your glass of water.

Cucumber and lettuce have the highest water contents from the vegetable family,they have 96 per cent. Tomatoes are also packed with water – they’re about 95 per cent and Just by adding some salad to a sandwich can top up your hydration needs.

I like drinking coconut water because it is a tasty option for topping up your fluid levels. It has mineral potassium as well as sodium and natural sugars.

if you’re going through a pregnancy then you’re more likely to develop constipation during that period,so you need to drink a lot of liquid,especially if you’re following a special diet or very low-calorie diet, you may need to drink more but ask a dietitian for advice.
