Warner Bros are looking for a girl to play Modesty in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, set in author JK Rowling’s wizarding world.

The story takes place 70 years before Harry’s birth and will be set in New York. The film stars Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and production is due to start later this summer.

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint landed his role as Ron Weasley in the films after an open audition.

Yesterday’s hopefuls descended on the ExCel centre in London’s Docklands and by early morning an estimated 25,000 stood in a line which included parents and grandparents wanting to make the most of the magical opportunity.

Each of the girls aged eight to 12 was handed a certificate for attending.  The film is being directed by David Yates, who did the last four Harry Potter films.
