Boy who fell from California cliff in medically-induced coma; dad calls fall ‘worst nightmare’

The father of a 4-year-old boy who survived falling more than 200 feet from a seaside cliff and landing on a rocky beach in Northern California says he was ready to jump down and get his son. Sebastion Johnson was throwing rocks Monday evening with family on a trail in Bodega Bay north of San Francisco when he suddenly couldn’t be found. The boy had lost his footing and was later rescued by fire crews. ABC7 News reports (http://abc7ne.ws/1xtsBhh) that the boy suffered injuries to his head, wrist and his leg and had surgery, a blood transfusion and was put in a medically-induced coma. The boy’s father, Daryl Johnson, called the fall his “worst nightmare” and said he tried to find access to the beach but couldn’t see his son.
